With fresh ingredients grown in Corfu and caught from the Ionian Sea, we invite you to join us on a delicious, culinary journey.
The White House Holiday Experience is defined by salt, sea and good food, as much as, it is about history, heart warming hospitality and the island of Corfu. Imagine yourself basking in the sunlight, listening to the Ionian Sea splashing at your feat whilst you awaken your sense of taste to our fresh seafood delicacies and white local wine. The White House Restaurant quite literally sits on the water’s edge overlooking Kalami Bay on the north east coast of Corfu. It is the lower ground level of the world famous White House, the Corfu residence of author, Lawrence Durrell.“We are committed to providing fine dining, to maintain an extensive wine cellar and offer the highest quality service”.
Our philosophy is to only use fresh local produce of the finest quality. This means that our menu is adjusted seasonally. Many of our dishes are based on traditional Corfiot recipes, handed down over the generations. Many of The White House dishes were particular favourites of the Durrells, thereby preserving our link with the rich history of the area.“Fish, caught daily from our own boat, seasonal vegetables and locally reared organic meat and poultry form the basis of all our dishes. To these we add expertise and love.”
If you are arriving by boat you are welcome to use our jetty that runs out-front of The White House Restaurant. We hope you will find the time to join us for lunch, dinner or cocktails in one of Corfu’s most picturesque and tranquil locations. During July and August we recommend you call us in advance if you would like to reserve a water front table.
Savor the taste of The White House at your place whether it’s your house, your garden, your yacht, one of the lovely beaches of Corfu or any other setting you and your guests would love to dine in.order now

We went twice. Great peaceful atmosphere. First we sat in the bar one evening on comfy bean bags watching the sun go down looking at Albania across the sea. We then decided to go back on our final evening for a meal and the food was superb. The ritsina was served in a fab little bottle. We ordered some when we got home! You must go! This is where the durrells lived and you’ll see why.March 2020
